I hope Neil Gaiman comes and sees that picture of Steve and Ryan. I hope it with the sort of hope I usually reserve for starving children to be fed. |

Hey MackJ, this guy is stealing your thunder (and all of our bandwidth) by presenting it as his idea! (Not that it matters, the board looks pretty young and nerdy, but just thought you'd like to know.) |

Guys, see my post 5 posts up? I don't think I'm the first to come up with this, but I totally went and took Garfield's thought balloons out, showing what Jon is really like, because you know he doesn't hear Garfield.
I really think it makes for a surreal comic. Garfield is finally funny! |

Guys, I was messing around with some chemicals in my lab, and I discovered this great way to turn Garfield into a comic that's actually good!
You take out anything Garfield says, because he's a cat, and it makes Jon seem crazy and pathetic!
Try it! |

Some of these get less funny where you replace the pictures with other people. It destroys the elegance of its simplicity. Call me an old schooler about a project that is maybe a month old. |

I accidentally read the comics page in a newspaper this morning and found this one. Classic.

You know, I read that same one today, and found myself just instinctively ignoring the animal dialogue. It was awesome. |

I'm seeing a theme of people taking Garfields thought bubbles out of comics that have already had the thought bubbles taken out of them because those people haven't read the whole thread and have only been sent here by that scheeming Neil Gaiman to END TABB. |

WTF? I can't see that comic making any amount of sense even WITH thought balloons! What, is insanity contagious? |

Yes!
I've always wondered why Gafield is almost funny but not quite. The re-explanation of the gags, which need no explanation takes away from the edge.
Anyways, all these cartoons have dates on them so you can look them in their original form on their online archive. With that said, jazzpirate, you are a genius.
Also, I just noticed this is the forum to PBF, DC, SW, and WA!
PBFDCSWWA!
I love all those comics! And I love all of you! |

Aw, we love you too! We usually call it ASW, which I only tell you because our feeble minds are easily confused. This is also the forum for Killroy and Tina, and Poppycock Theater, which are also excellent comics! |

I honestly am surprised that no one has taken this to the obvious next step yet:
