Isn't Deerhoof from San Francisco? The singer's Japanese, but I'm not sure that counts.
You did start the thread, though, SO NO ARGUING! |

It's true! =[]
I would reccomend Kemuri by DJ Krush. Or Haruka Kanata by Asian Kung-Fu Generation if you're not into the whole trip-hop thing. |

Haruka Kanata was the only good narutard op in my opinion.
- But nobody asked you!
J-just shut up! :_( -
For Japanese, I would suggest something off of the superb Hellsing Soundtrack, maybe some Seatbelts, or a Noir soundtrack song.
I guess anything by Ms. Kanno would be good, though! I am also quite partial to Nobuo Uematsu's compositions (Final Fantasy). |

Greece: Anything by Last Drive, and Closer's "In The Market".
Yes, the whole album.
Also, Kemal from the album "Reflections" (a collaboration of The New York Rock & Roll Ensemble and Manos Hadjidakis).
<edit> I have to pick one? Oh man, OK, Closer. |

CRAP CRAP CRAP. Sorry about that. I always mess that up. Always. The singer always throws me off. Anyway, situation amended. |
