I just learned that Superted originated as a Welsh-language educational show over in England. I had no idea. |

Paddington is named after a rail station in London Steve. |

Fantastic Max was pretty cool. So was Mighty Max.
Also, Steve, you haven't satisfied my burning curiosity about Parker Lewis and the lengths to which he will go to not lose. |

The exact reason that Parker Lewis couldn't lose was never addressed directly. Could it be that if he did, in fact, lose, his entire sense of self would be destroyed and he would be left lying prostrate on his bedroom floor, naked (emotionally AND physically), quivering and weeping? |

Steve, your description conjures up mental images of some kind of exotic foreign film full of despondency and existential despair, the study of a man so brittle he will break everything to try and maintain his fragile sense of self, with ever-increasing desperation.
Somehow I don't think the show was that way. All I remember about it is the title. |

Anything involving Ringo Starr is A-OK in my book. And narrating those Thomas the Tank Engine read-along books only meant that he locked me in as a fan at age three. Thumbs up. |

Okay, Steve.
Everybody knows the first video played on MTV was "Video Killed the Radio Star".
What was the second? |

That is clearly Zartan and one of the Dreadnoughts. The blow-torch one. Torch, I believe? |

Yep, yep! Zartan and Torch performing COLD SLITHER!
Oh yeah, baby!
Turn it UP!
I can almost still sing that song from memory. Infectiously evil as it was. |

Man, good thing Joe stopped that insideous plot! We'd all still be rockin' to the sound of Cobra if they hadn't. |

Yes but what about the Joe song?
As I recall they had a battle of the bands?
Lesson: Don't ever let the Jem writers on the Joe set! |

Aw.
That's okay.
I think it was just a slightly modified version of the theme song. |

Guys, after listening to those, it's only now that I realize Cobra Commander was Starscream in disguise. |
