i was watching TV and one character said to another, "Do you want a Mento?"
I was like, does she mean a mentos. What do you guys think the singular form of mentos is? I think it is still mentos because its Mentos: the fresh maker, not Mentos: the fresh makers. Do a lot of other people out there say Mento?
after posting this i searched youtube looking for some classic Mentos commercials. i found thishttp://youtube.com/watch?v=d2g5A4FKAmw. quite a departure from a guy rolling around on a freshly painted bench in order to give his whole suit the appearance of pinstriping. |

I have never thought about this before
I never eat mentos but if I did I would probably use mento for singular even if it is incorrect. |

I can't understand people that say Mento. The singular is still Mentos because whenever you hear them say the S in the ads, it's a soft S, not a hard S that usually goes on plurals. It's Mentossss, the freshmaker.
oh, and that new ad is horrifying. |

Sorry. That ad broke my brain for a second there.
PS Mento is Jamaican folk music. |

With his last remaining ounce of motor skills, Pig-Jaw musters up a defiant sneer as he dramatically clicks the send button. He then slides forward out of his chair and under his desk, making little effort to stop himself. |

It's safe to say that Pig-Jaw is out for the night. He gurgles some threats toward Draylorn from under the desk, but before long his muttered curses are replaced by snores.
Pig-Jaw's wife enters the room and scowls at him. She moves the chair aside, drags him to the bedroom door and pushes him out into the hall, where he presumably spends the rest of his night. |

Man, PigJaw just catapulted this thread into another stratosphere of awesome.
I hope his hangover this morning isn't too bad. |
