Casio renditions of alternative-rap classics

It's really bad!

So I decided to cover "Secret Love" from Calamity Jane. I faced a number of hurdles in this, amongst them the fact that I'd actually only heard the Caterina Valente version when I started, and that I can't actually sing well enough to carry the tune as it was intended. So I ended-up doing a Tom Waits impression over what sounds like a particularly poor Fiery Furnaces b-side.

Here it is:

It has a guitar solo!

Just letting you know I haven't forgotten about this! Maybe I'll do it tomorrow. Trying to decide how to do it right now.

I don't want this thread to die, so here is the CatDog theme.

Also JHayes how are things coming along?

Also here is Maneater, originally by Hall & Oates.

I have been up all night without sleep and the litre and a half of coffee I drank is just starting to kick in. That is how I attain the authentic "cocaine" sound.

Heh, I am familiar with this song via my dad, although only the "no nay never" part.

You sound like you're ready to explode.

I can't stop giggling.

Edit: Son of a bitch when it got to the part where you asked us all the take it I quite literally could not stop myself.

Thanks for making me do this. I never would've covered it otherwise and it was a fun song to cover.

Sounds like you need to drink some more nails and gravel before you've got the Tom Waits thing down! I enjoyed it a lot, you did a good job fitting in the ambient sounds in the background. Well mixed too, which is something I've never been good at.
A+ would listen again

OK i thought Kundor was something you needed to sign up for or something but this is cool.
Anyhow I covered Rilo Kiley's "With Arms Outstretched". I saw them recently and this song was just awesome.

I would totally sign up for a Kundor-based 80s-to-early-90s-style online service

like Kundor Online

or KundoServe

or Kundigy

or kWorld

or the WKLL

or KUndor

or Delphi (only with Kundor)

or whatever
