i sort of drew it before i drew most of the face though which was dumb
anyway i'm pretty happy w/ it
esp. given that i only draw ~3 things/year
david byrne has a good face to draw. |

whoa! that's pretty good. The people on this board are so talented.
Isn't that guy from, like, the 80s or something? I think I recognize him from a feature I saw on VH1. Why did you pick him to draw? |

wait, isn't he from the band that did that joke song?
Were all their songs like that, or were some of them serious? I think I'd like to hear them if they were. |

i like everything but the tiny mic (already noted) and the shading by the nose. In general i think you might have been slightly heavy handed on the shadows but the one by the nose, i think, is a bit much.
However: i have no idea what this guy looks like so maybe this is accurate? |

well it is accurate because the photo i took it from is lit really weirdly and also he's very sweaty so there is a ridiculously strong light/dark contrast
mfa the nose and eyes are shaded kind of heavily because i started with those and when i started the pictured i was in a scribbly mood but the rest was done more evenly
or wait are you talking about the cheekbone? anyway i promise it's accurate for the picture it was from
i'll do one with less ridiculous shading next time
thanks everyon!
ps. sorry everyone about the mic |

no, i was mainly talking about the spot by the nose--the cheeks, obviously, have very heavy shading but i think it works better than the part by the nose.
and definitely keep these up! |
