| If it's OK with everybody, I am going to appropriate the distinguished authors of Powerup Comics into Unwinder's Tall Comics as occasional guests in some sort of universe-devouring stunt. Everybody knows it was us who made it anyway, so I might as well cash in, huh? I will probably portray them as I envision them in real life, and not as they portray themselves, so basically they will be two ugly judgmental gamers with a thriving fantasy life. I am open to objections, because I realize that they aren't really exclusively my characters, and everyone has different ideas about how they'd be in real life. |
Shadow is not ugly hug you
I've actually been expecting you to put them in the comic for a while now. Feels right, especially with Sonty Mick already there. |

sorry for bumping a dead topic but i made some puc i guess.
idk. i felt like sharing.
sorry.
EDIT: I hope that editing posts doesn't bump the topic. I don't want to bump this and ruin the forum, but because I'm a terrible person, I can't let go of this, and made more. These are verbatim transcripts of old CTRL-ALT-DEL comics.

this is the best news i've heard ever
hopefully it will just be the already-made comics without any new art or anything |

TBQH, I'm mostly just using this as a lead-in to posting all the strips I never got around to posting before.
I'm thinking about doing some somewhat better strips and then having it degenerate back to the old strips, but I'm not 100% sure yet. |

Though if this raises interest in an honest-to-God Powerup revamp/revival/reboot I am up for that.
I've been rereading the archive and man, this stuff was so funny. |

Haha, Powerup is still getting a thousand views a day, and is still the #7 strip-format comic on Drunkduck. |

I'd enjoy each strip having roughly one nicely drawn original panel, but the rest just use pastes from the first series. |

and by "nicely" I just mean there's a lot of detail or otherwise clearly redrawn
It wouldn't need to be actually good. |

I'm seeing all this for the first time by the way... there's so much!
Too much actually...
But great work. And: Over a thousand views?! Well played, Shadow. |

less than one of those views is my fault - I just haven't had the heart to delete the bookmark, and when I read webcomics I open all my bookmarks at once so |

I check it daily because when I type in "Dru" to get to DrunkDuck PUC is the first one on the list (from there I use the Faves toolbar to get to Epic Fail Comics and Smug I Could Do) |

I don't think it would be possible, or even desirable to resurrect Powerup in its original form. I was pretty sick of it when we cut things off, and I can understand why a lot of people would still be feeling the franchise fatigue.
But I don't see the harm in getting the ol' Unwinder/Baron team back together and making some more quality-controlled material. The site still gets a lot of traffic, and I can't help wanting to perform for an audience like that. |

I say more Shadow wish fulfillment
More cluelessness about what can be said in good taste
More obviously lazy artwork and obviously not proofread text
Less blatantly inflammatory strips (it's best when Shad has no clue who he's offending)
No more strips that are directly ripped from other strips to see if people will notice
No more strips that look so terrible that they're almost unreadable. |

no more strips that don't fit with the characters writing them. shadow is always cool and always right
no forty strip storylines that aren't actually funny (not that we ever put any of those up) |
