During the month or two that I fancied myself an editor of Wikipedia, I ran into an article called "Brain Dump" which seemed to have something to do with the transfer of a large body of information from one thing to another, but though it was quite long it didn't actually explain what kind of information was being transferred between what kind of entities. I think it's been deleted though.
There's also the weirdo version of the Homunculus page that gives you detailed instructions on creating one, but I can't find that.
("itt refer tantalizingly to weird and hilarious wikipedia pages and then not link to them") |

On the cucumber sandwich page I changed "British cucumber sandwich purists conventionally frown on these variants and many would not consider the modern variants to be variants at all, but simply a different sandwich" to "British cucumber sandwich enthusiasts conventionally frown on these variants and many would not consider the modern variants to be variants at all, but simply a different sandwich". |

really consider myself so lucky to have stumbled across that as it surely can't have been around for more than a few days, but it rules everything on wikipedia imo |

When I was doing research for a speech on wordplay for my creative writing class, one article lead to another and I ended up here and the attention box or whatever it's called made me laugh and laugh, more than any of the examples did. |

haha i also love how the person doing the knocking is referred to as the punster (new batman villain imo)
and this line reminds me of tommy for some reason:

I totally get something like this, which is linked to in the article. They're called brain zaps, apparently, although mine have an auditory component that isn't mentioned.
It feels like an electric shock in my head, with a fairly low pitched buzzing which very rapidly (within a second or two) increases in volume to a peak, at which point it stops immediately and I feel disoriented/vertiginous for a couple of seconds. I thought I had some mild form of epilepsy, but I rationally I don't suppose that is how an electrical disruption in the brain would feel like. What are the chances it would actually feel like an electrical disruption when your brain isn't a sensing organ for electrical disturbances? |

From this article:
| Wikipedia wrote: |
| "Octopus's Garden" is a song written by Ringo Starr with a little help from his friends (although it is credited solely to Starr, as "Starkey"). |

the most 'wikipedia' illustration possible for an article on humour. |

also, only an xkcd fan could write could write something as terrible as this imho:
| Quote: |
Root components [of humour]:
- appealing to feelings or to emotions.
- similar to reality, but not real.
- some surprise/misdirection, contradiction, ambiguity, or paradox.
|
this rules though:
| Quote: |
Rowan Atkinson explains in his lecture in the documentary "Funny Business"[12] that an object or a person can become funny in three different ways. They are:
- By behaving in an unusual way
- By being in an unusual place
- By being the wrong size

shit this is like the start of a new chapter in my life I now know that I have exploding head syndrome |
