I just listened to the new Decemberists ("The Hazards of Love") and I rate it really highly.
You should listen to it guys. |

i downloaded themselves' new mixtape, theFREEhoudini, and it is infuckingcredible. you guys should all go download it, it's free! (like, legally)
and that put me on a hip-hop binge basically, so i went and got a bunch of albums (mostly instrumental stuff) that i didn't have that i probably should have already: got Prefuse 73's One Word Extingusher, which is really awesome, i can't believe i had not listened to this guy before. i love glitchy stuff, and i love instrumental hip-hop so basically <3
also got T.I.M.E. soundtrack, by Odd Nosdam. i really like his overall aesthetic, but the majority of his individual tracks leave me wanting a bit, some how.
also Lillian by Alias and Ehren, who i guess is Alias' brother, who i guess doesn't know how to spell "Aaron." He plays like, woodwinds and stuff, so the overall album is pretty laid-back, kinda jazzy with awesome beats and stuff, good "chillout" music.
also, i realized that i had The Private Press, but, had somehow neglected to ever get Endtroducing...?!?! dude, what a classic album.
also i downloaded something by Busdriver, and the Deltron 3030 album, both of which i will listen to more when i am in the mood for vocals again.
wow this got long! |

oh man the new thermals sucks?
fuckin a
edit: i didn't want to believe this but then i listened to it and yeah it is definitely a subpar album. maybe they are one of those bands where only every other album is really good |

The Paper Chase - God Bless Your Black Heart
The Paper Chase - Cntrl Alt Delete U
Very good, even though listening to it generally makes me question my sanity. It's kind of like the soundtrack to a really disturbing horror movie where the killer is singing his inner-dialogue right before he snaps.
Actually, I've really only listened to the first album, because I sort of have to be in the right mood to listen to them, and I haven't been in that sort of mood in a while. Very good music for making creepy art, though.
I'm also wishing I'd have gotten Now You Are One of Us, because I've heard more songs off that album since buying the first two and they're really really good. |

I don't understand how you could like Metric at all and think this album is terrible. |

I've only heard one song from it and it sounded like "the most generic metric song possible" |
