re: gaining weight, just eat a lot/lift a lot (weight wise, dont do more than 3-4 days a week). focus on compound lifts and increasing the weight on the bar and getting 2500+ calories a day with about 1-1.5x your bodyweight in grams of protein. strength will also usually come before size.

re: cabbie, lifting in low rep ranges will increase strength more than high rep, low weight ranges. if you're lifting for size most movements will be in the 8-12 range
