SO I don't know if anybody remembers me talking about this about a year ago, but I'm leaving tomorrow. The deal: driving around the country/continent and visiting everywhere (and everyone) I can, until all my money is gone. I'm setting up a travel blog thing at the moment for anyone who wants to follow.
SO, if anybody happens to be near where I'm traveling, maybe you have cool ideas for places to visit, or maybe we could have lunch at some quirky little local place? My current vaguely planned route looks like this at the moment: Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Ohio, up to Toronto, across to Ottawa, over to Nova Scotia, down through New England and zig-zag down the east coast, west to Texas and Phoenix from there. |

See you in Texas, dawg.
And based on the blood oath to Ryan I made, maybe Phoenix. |

If I have the time we can hang out in Toronto. Doubtful I will have a place for you to stay, though. |

That's no problem. I'm aiming to get there on the weekend. My cell is 814-460-7728, call or text or whatever.
I actually have in my old notes for this thing that I was gonna visit you in Toronto but I wasn't sure if you were still around these parts. |

Actually Phoenix is like way up there on my list of places I want to make sure I get to. Planning and seeing you and Ryan, and ALSO getting my real-life re-match. |

My cousin goes to college in Pittsburgh, but she probably doesn't want to see you.
depending on when you're zig-zagging I'll either be in Philly or Blacksburg. Probably Blacksburg. It's not really anything there besides VT and some bars, so you probably won't want to stop by, but you can if you want to. |

No offense to Phoenix, but why the hell would you want to go there? |

Oh also if you are passing through the east side of Cleveland at a convenient time, we can have lunch. |

I'm about 60 miles east of Pittsburgh if you happen to be driving that way (though it doesn't sound like you will be). |

Absolutely, never been there.
Also I have some people I love over in Phoenix, and um, when I visited before I thought it was pretty awesome?

Nope. :/
Note: I'm not treating anybody to any food (limited funds!) but those places all sound interesting!

I am hosting some houseguests this weekend from France, so it is doubtful I will be available for sweet high-fives. I can, though, recommend that this weekend is Doors Open Toronto, where lots of historic buildings and Cool Stuff will be open to the public, even and especially stuff that is usually closed. |

haha the first two threads i visit on tabb tonight and they're both hating on phoenix. it's whatev.
mike i am thrilled to see this is happening, and i am curious as to when you will be in phoenix. you can stay at my apt. a day or two if need be. also let us know when you're coming so chris can try his best to come over from tucson. THIS IS GREAT.
also when i race in real life (which is the way i usually race people), i always win because they are right next to me so i know how fast i need to fun and I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED. lets race, and lets bet like $500 on it too huh?
hope you are continuing to have a good time on your trip, and i am glad it's finally happening for you! |

Oh yeah I was gonna come in here and mention that I met Mike and he is a pretty cool guy. We went to a restaurant that has a homemade X-wing fighter outside the front door, had some Jamaican jerk chicken, and talked a lot about traveling the country. |
