Did anyone else try slowing this down? |

Wait, so no one ever actually did I Am The Walrus?
It's a song that I always wanted to cover, except that usually when I cover a song, I re-arrange the parts to allow or to consist entirely of violin or synth, so obviously that approach won't work here. So I've been kind of at a loss as to how to do it, since I'm sure there's other bands that have done a regular guitar rock version of it, and that probably wouldn't be so interesting anyway.
But if no one else has done it, and skimming the thread, that's what it looks like, I'll definetely try my hand. Ideas are hatching already. |

I think I'll give it a shot, I love Syd Barret's solo stuff. It's like listening to someone slowly going insane. |

Hooray!
The weirdest thing about listening to some of the older covers I did for this thread is realising that, at the time, I honestly couldn't tell that my guitar was out of tune.
Now I can tell but I am too lazy to fuss. |

So good. I especially liked the way you used Dixie as a bridge. |

I... I did a cover of How to Save a Life...
(It's in my deeper country voice!)
(some missed notes... I was kinda improvising the melody) |

Kind of a remake of a cover; one of my first digital song type things was a cover of this song back when it was actually new, then I lost the mp3 and original tracks. I tried to remake it when I was making a covers EP last year, but did not have a version I deemed "finished" until now. In the spirit of my first cover of this, the verse vocals are supposed to sound like "I Can't Put My Finger On It" by Ween, but then for the chorus I decided to do a poor Bryan Ferry impression. |
