Combine geek guitar pedal soldering with online comic reading and this is what you get.
Behold!
Go to my blawg to read a little about this guitar effect. The image is etched into the aluminium using Fe3Cl, which is cool because it will never chip off. I was a little too eager and etched where it shouldn't have etched, but it still looks kind of neat, doesn't it?
It's a Green Ringer octave up replica, which adds a tone one octave above the tone I'm playing (hence the name.)

This is the most awesome thing I've seen on this forum in a long time. Being a guitar fx nerd and all, but I never really got into building (yet). The etching is really awesome. |
