As I get older and find that expressing what I really mean is getting harder and harder, I have come to loathe punctuation. Especially periods. They rob your statement of it's dignity by saying "Oh, hey, I'm over. What I had to say clearly wasn't purposeful enough or sufficiently crafted so that you knew when I had made my point. Doink!"
Question marks I don't really have a problem with, but I do find their intentional absence hilarious.

I haven't been paying attention to new threads but I think your new thread is the one I was tempted to start?
Because *I* totally met John Campbell last weekend, too, at the Word on the Street Festival panel. I went and talked to him and Kate Beaton and Ryan and everyone after the panel? Were you there?
John Campbell seemed really pleasantly normal and I think we should totally be BFFs. And, um, nearly said as much to him. And he didn't seem freaked out by it? |
