Well I mean that's not exactly unique, it seems like lots of TaBB people draw things. |

Well gee whiz, maybe I'm not up to using logical deduction on every forum post I see, and sometimes like to just ask people things.
Whatever. |

ysqure I think you're surprisingly good at drawing! I am pretty happy you're breaking your scribbling habits because you're a talented young man. |

I swear, it's safer to scribble in pencil than on a tablet because on a pencil, I have more control over the value levels. Or something.
But anyway yeah it basically isn't all that hard to stop doing it, it just takes another few minutes for each piece. |

This time, instead of drawing from life, I drew from a Dave Gibbons picture.
I basically just used the same techniques of sketching and value estimation I do when I work from life (as opposed to tracing).
I think it came out well. |

um scribbly lines are pretty much essential for drawing solid accurate forms plz
whether you choose to have scribbles be a part of the final product is another thing, and either way it's not bad or good |

Mm. The panel I was referencing had the shoulders cut off slightly, and I think my guess of how far they extended was too far. |

these figure drawings are really good dude
at least the scribbles in that last one are there to define his muscles rather than disguise shitty form |

It's a style.
It's not adding a bunch of scribbles.
Drawing something quickly means you're making fast lines to get the general shape and feel of an object. Not taking your time to get the exact curve in one stroke. |

Yeah seriously don't try to justify this stuff. There are scribbles everywhere because 1.) I'm too unconfident to get a long, precise curve in one stroke and 2.) I'm too damn lazy to clean up my shit after I've finished a drawing. I don't mind people saying that my drawings are rad, that makes me feel good, but seriously. |

yes, but that wasn't what ysqure used to do or why he did it |
