Lately I have been dedicating my time to trying to work in Illustrator, just trying to basically get a feel and have it work for me in a positive way instead of being perplexed by it all the time.

So here's a few things I've been working on.

Here is a monster.

Here is a monster set up graphically for a t-shirt dae would never wear.

Here is a portrait sort of thing that I was also hoping could be worked into a design of some sort.

I'm enjoying working with it and all, but I admit, I am not the best dude for good T-Shirt ideas so maybe that is not the route to be taking.

I've been thinking of making a monster coloring book, so with that in mind I've been trying to do some more stuff.

I had forgotten to mention that I had drawn a pokemon as well, but he's one of the new ones so there's no fanbase.

But I'm pretty keen to get back to ugly monster right away!

do you do all of these as sketches first and then scan and trace in illustrator? They are so wonderfully organic.

The very first monster I posted I just did from the inking stage in Illustrator. Most of the rest have started as loose gesture sketches in Photoshop.

I haven't inked anything drawn on paper in a while, though I maybe should.

Unfortunately my time is now in a constant struggle between working on my coloring book, for who I am in contact with a dude a who makes them (his was heavy-metal themed), and my animation projects!

Currently for animation I'm working on Rad Taylor and Bingo West: Ace Teens.
