I'll make a tape, record it to my computer, and then post the long mp3 files for other people to burn to disc and then put on a tape of their very own

this shit is so whack I borrowed a recorder from my father and ran a couple tests in the car on the way back and now that I get back to my place it doesn't make any noise not the radio or cassette or anything this shit just broke mannnnnn.

I have finished one side of this and have not run out of songs, so I guess this tape is in fact going to consist entirely of selections from my scatter shot record collection.

Also, I hope you like snippets of vaguely creepy am radio religious programming, because to me that is what you record when there's a somewhat sizable chunk of tape left, but not enough for one more song.

No I've been taking it very seriously. I have only three songs after four days work. I am just going to have to think of more ways to play to the unique capabilities of the audio cassette.

I was recording mine last night and learned how poor the iTunes auto-level feature is.

Like, I adjusted the volume for the first song in the playlist, but when I came back everything was purely in the red. But it's not like I'm going to change the input level mid-tape, amirite?

So, uh, I'm not sure what the distortion will be like.
I might listen to it tonight to find out.

Tom I hope you are not expecting me to perfect volume levels or ambient noise because this tape is full of it. This tape isn't focused on music so much as it's focused on wigging you out. Putting it in the mail today btw.

I have done some necessary notch-kicking and I sure hope you like improvised audio-dramas and disco music.
