So I was looking at the Something Awful forums webcomics thread and I happened upon this pretty awesome parody of DK:

Someone showed that to me the other day, and I can say with the utmost certainty that it is indeed awesome. I'm tempted to start having Kimiko wear a shirt that says "tits." |

Totally just updated again. I'm actually drawing them faster; it's just that there's a bunch of real life crap that eats my time. |

Aaron, I am a big fan of axolotls. Also that man-ape neoteny thing Mr. Huxley wrote about. Did you read the ancestor's tale? There was a lot of interesting stuff on neoteny in there. |

you can maintain a stationary low orbit with any kind of propulsion not just solar sails
unless she has observed it and found lack of fusion/fission/chemical burning/ion expulsion signature
but if she observed it that closely surely she would have noticed whether or not it had the giant area necessary for solar sailing
so I would think that electrodynamic tether propulsion is in fact the most likely method of stationkeeping
assuming that you have macrolength nanotubes for the tensile strength, and any sufficiently strong power source (solar panels would have to be quite large at that altitude so I'd go with a nuclear reactor) you could generate sufficient thrust without observable means
Wait shit tethers can only accelerate perpendicular to the planet's magnetic field, which would keep the satellite up by accelerating it to the necessary speed which'd be like a 90 minute orbit or something NEVER MIND
PS. Larry Niven's Known Space has neotenous humans; we were originally a colony of the Pak, which have a subsentient Breeder stage, which if exposed to a symbiotic virus around the 40s develops into a superintelligent Protector, with hardened leathery skin, no genitals, enlarged joints (for increased muscle leverage) and teeth fallen out & replaced by a leather beak (this is meant to explain human's bodies going all to hell as remnant effects). The Protector, being unable to reproduce, is dedicated single-mindedly to the preservation of its close relatives and the elimination of genetic deviation. (It was partly an exploration of the idea that intelligence needn't be associated with morality or cooperativeness; Pak Protectors are more intelligent than humans but have little or no free will.)
The virus is ingested by eating the root of a plant called tree-of-life, which can't survive on Earth, so after the colony arrived several million years ago, the Protectors died out, and the Breeders (Homo Habilis) evolved into modern humans and the other simians. (Yeah, don't examine that closely.)
SO ANYWAY I THOUGHT THAT WAS REALLY NEAT BUT I HAD NO IDEA FREAKING ALDOUS HUXLEY WROTE THE SAME CONCEPT 30 YEARS EARLIER
PPS. I don't think I've ever mentioned that I like your comic
Its confluence of disciplines and spirit of playful inquiry have been a source for my optimism about humanity's direction
so um
thanks |

I wanted to go to MoCCA, but that didn't pan out. I may show up somewhere, though. We'll see. |

I liked Dresden Codak better when you didnt update, because then I had all the excitement of waiting for a strip, without the disapointment of actually reading it.
I hate how you profit from doing what you enjoy, Aaron! |

Now, having read it, I'm amazed that I hadn't got around to reading it before. This is a very good comic. I like your comic Aaron D. |

Aaron, this whole thing about you quitting your job to make this comic has been a really big disappointment as far as you updating the comic more often.
It seems like the only real difference is that now you ask for money more often.
Seriously, dude. "Here is a new tee-shirt that you can buy for money which you give me please" is not what I want to see in place of a comic when I visit your website. |

I have talked to two of my real-life friends on the topic, and they agree. |
