Pretty sure you aren't supposed to cook pizza on cardboard ever.

But you can cook it right on the rack to get a crispier crust!

I have seen this in instructions on the box of pizza!

I think they assume you don't have a stone if you are buying frozen pizza.

I think he might mean the cardboard and foil things that you use to make microwave pizza? Those are not for oven use, though.

I use a pizza pan, the kind with holes in it.

what is so bad about leaving the cardboard on?? Is it a fire hazard or something? I think it would be okay as long as you take it out when you're supposed to.

anyway i rarely get freezer pizzas I always get them at papa murphys or an actual pizza place

but

if i got a freezer pizza today i would cook it with cardboard and you all would not stop me.

i mean maybe in a gas oven it would set it on fire but

not in an electric oven and not if it has a pizza on top of the cardboard

i mean I'm not going to put a plain circle of cardboard in my oven that's just silly

i don't normally use gas ovens but i have used one and it was very unevenly heated as drew described

Yo, what about a Ziggy where he orders pizza and when it gets delivered it is frozen pizza and he has to put it in his oven.

I haven't had a frozen pizza in a hundred years (I have a pizza stone now, as explanation here), but I think I recall that there were some that you cooked on top of cardboard. Like it was for if you didn't want to make a crispy crust? Probably?

I tried googling for any info on cooking the pizza on cardboard

I mostly found a bunch of "DON'T DO IT!!!" and "OH SHIT I DID IT!!!" and a little of "build a hobo oven out of cardboard"

I did find a thing for a frozen pizza that you cook in the oven on some sort of parchment
but it specifically says to slide the parchment off the cardboard first


also if you just want it to have a softer crust then bake it on a cookie sheet for less time

guys frozen pizzas are way cheaper than an other pizza
if you buy the right ones/buy them at the right time/place

I guess making our own MIGHT be cheaper if you make your own dough but that shit is way too time intensive

Also, right now I am thinking about frozen pizzas and it is seeming like I have a lot of memories of trying to put them on a pan from the cardboard - so basically my frozen pizza memories are terrible and worthless.

Making the dough isn't really that hard although it certainly does take longer and require more effort than just cooking the frozen kind. Home made pizzas are so great though. Never going back if I can help it.
