vermouth is the most disgusting alcohol

Sweet vermouth is tasty over ice, but is very very different from dry vermouth

gin martinis or vodka?

I've only ever tried a gin martini, and I really didn't like it. I like gin but only with citrus.

I've also heard that vermouth is good to cook with (dry vermouth for chicken, sweet for beef) but I've never tried it.

I've also heard that vermouth should be consumed fresh or refrigerated, or else it will go bad. My parents have a half empty bottle of vermouth in the cabinet that's at least a decade old.

only vodka martinis. Can't stand gin. But I'm probably doing it wrong because I really only like sweet(er) drinks.

i never measure anything out, i just sorta pour it all in the shaker, and if i don't like what comes out, i'll throw in a lil more of whatever it feels like it needs.

i kind of want to start drinking more classic gin martinis, but melissa doesn't like gin, so i don't usually buy it
