when somebody on my friends list "likes" the picture? without blocking the friend.
some of the pictures are very awful, and there doesn't seem to be any way to just block the profiles that crank out these pictures all day
i don't mind that people enjoy posting those things but they crowd my newsfeed. as in there are more of these things then there are actual posts by my friends. it is getting to be a bit much
does anyone else have the same problem

Yeah, p. much everyone has the same problem afaik.
And tons of it comes from George Takei.

I wish they'd make apps that they share these pictures through, because Facebook did recently roll out the ability to block a person/app combination, which is something I'd been waiting on a long time.

Oh, but P.S.: I think you CAN block just a given friend's likes.

So if a friend is "like"ing garbage alla time but you still want to read about when they eat a taco, you can do that.

i never noticed that you could just block likes outright

still, it would be pretty handy if facebook gave you the option to just block likes and comments put on people like george takei's pages
i'm a little bit surprised facebook isn't more on top of this, I know several people who deleted their facebook profile just because these pictures are so annoying

I think you're supposed to have a WiFi bluetooth AirPort 4G data plan on all your monthly devices.

Nothing has a cord anymore, even though cords carry signal better.

People want intermittent Netflix streams.

They eschew physical media and physical ways of delivering it.

I have this friend who has always attached herself to terrible people and also seems to have no ability to judge what is cool/acceptable. Since moving overseas she's become more radical/political, I think largely influenced by her new anarchist girlfriend.

She sent me this "zine" that she made and I seriously can't believe this part I have to show someone.

Like, maybe it's classist to afford a thing, as if it's ostensibly intentional to make others feel worse about not having it.
But it's way more classist to destroy a person's property because you perceive them as being a different class.

I think Tommy is on the money here re: it being a symbol of the upper class and that makes it different from leather, even if it's fake. Like, they wouldn't wear leather but I also imagine they wouldn't put their menstrual blood on someone's leather belt while they were sleeping. They might, though, what do I know.

Honestly don't think the least bit of thought went into the "protest" at all.
