Yes! Like the corrosion on the pipes. Not sure what the guy's sitting on. Is it coal?

It was an oversized gear of some sort. I realize that part is not terribly well drawn (also means the guy's spine shouldn't seem so straight/stiff... woops!)

All the hard work in the factory with corrosive pipes made his spine stiff. Common problem in coal mining villages in the East Midlands, England, Europe during the early 20th century.

djr justifies your artwork

That's quite nice. You know, there are competitions for designing shoes.

I'm really proud of how it came out, for some reason.

Probably because I haven't painted or really tried to draw anything in several years.

That's a nice self portrait there, Dr. Mr. Vandertramps. Your first picture confuses me a little, though, as it just uses black outline for the eyes, nose and mouth, and I'm not sure why it isn't used elsewhere or why you used it at all. Makes the whole thing a little inconsistent. Also the ear is missing detail! You cannot NOT draw the ear details! It's the funnest thing in the whole drawing process (or maybe I just have a weird fetish).
Otherwise it's good!

crazydiamond: Holy Moses. You know, you'd think that picture is quite dreamy with all that snowflake sparkle and ethereal blue colouring, but then you realise the horse/pony itself is still dreamingly looking upwards into the yonder, imaging a world even MORE fantastic than the one we're looking into right now. And you'd think big blue-eyed, snowflake-tattoo'ed Pegasus would be content riding through the sparkling heavens, but no, it still wants more, in turn making it as human as the observer trying to reach for the impossible, always dreaming about what lies beyond. :cry4usa:

brent: The animation's great. There's so much going on in the picture itself, it's kind of hard to find an access-point to it, especially if you think of it as an animation primarily, which means I didn't check the details until after looking at it for a third time, because I was just thinking: Yeah! Animate, animate, animate. (in a real sleazy voice)
