Truth and Beauty Bombs

Yeah, I went to a japanese origami exhibit and was pretty blown away by those things so I ended up going to the japanese library and photocopying some pages. I pretty much scanned a page in and traced it on the computer, I can paste it if anyone's interested!

how do you know when it's done?

It's kind of like cooking. You can eat cheese and yogurt plain and it tastes good, but it is also good to add it into other stuff and make a more complex taste. That's kind of what I'm doing is making the image more complex.

So like 6 months ago or something I bought these things called Elmer's Paintastic Pens on a whim and they're like a pen/paintbrush combo and they are pretty dang fun to play with. Mostly I've been doing squiggles and doodles and trying to get a feel for how to do certain things, since I don't ever use bushes. BUT ANYWAY here are some things that are actual things from my paintpen adventures:

The hair is wrong on this one but I was trying to be really quick and flow-y with the brush.






The brush tips got a little wet and kinda ran near the bottom on this one.
