if i had to guess when/where this painting was supposed to take place, i would say "the french revolution"

the main characters are chatting it up, there's one normal guy and one short guy, via heightism i am assuming the tall bro is in charge (also bcuz he's speaking)

i looked at this painting for a while before i noticed the lil girl in the bg. i'm sure she is some kind of personification of liberty or innocence or w/e.

i h8 that kind of thing, in all these paintings i've seen, there's gotta be some girl or woman hanging around being "literally freedom/justice/the american spirit/civilization/etc"
