Years 1 to 6 are in the same school, usually, "Primary School". 7 to 11 are in the same school, Secondary School, and they often have Sixth Form Colleges attached.

It seems roughly the same although I don't know the ages, still.

there were lockers at one of the gradeschools I went to

also here
there is no middle school

jr high
or whateverthefuck
just
grade school
and
highschool
and
university/college

there is kindergarten but it is in the same building as the grade school so does it count as a separate thing?
also people start school at 4 or 5

Well, college usually has a wide variety of different qualifications available, whereas a sixth form college only really does A-levels, which are essentially only for getting into university.

I never went to kindergarden, but for me it was primary-6, 7-9, 10-12, and now university. My university used to be the university/college of cape breton, but now they've just dropped the college part to become Cape Breton University.

ps ;_; my juniour high experience was not even remotely similar to high school.

i mean it has (in america at least)

the same structure as high school

w/ multiple periods and such

as opposed to elementary w/ only one class

and you could also get high school credit for some middle school classes

whaaaaaat. I went to a pretty poor junior high, so while it was divided into classes, you couldn't choose any, and it was all with the same people, so it was basically like elementary, except with more walking. Our juniour high barely prepared us for high school, let alone let us get credit.

uhh well

i went to a "magnet" middle school, altho it was also 50% regular kids just zoned for the school

so it might have been a lil different but

you could choose an elective at least

and your classes had mostly the same people but not exactly (some were completely different iirc)

What magnet courses were offered? Our "electives" were art and cooking. It actually lit got poorer after I left since my sister's class had to bring in their own ingredients since the school couldn't take the hit.

We had three different classes for each grade. So like I was in 8MP (named after the home room teacher) and every class I had was with the same students from that home room.

middle school was when my school started separating the smarter kids into different classes, but tried to hide it with coded class names and forbade us from talking about it.

Tommy doesn't speak for all of Ontario, I went to a grade 7-8 "junior secondary" or "middle" school.

Also elementary=primary
high school=secondary

it was called the "gate" program

also the only thing we did in gate was logic puzzles

which were

not my strong suit

so i basically had no skills that were relevant to the gate program

as far as bullying goes, since both classes were v. separated

we only really saw each other at recess and nobody really seemed to care

and we never did logic puzzles

even though I was really good at them

actually in 3rd and 4th grade we actually did do logic puzzles, thinking back on it

every day the teacher would put a variety of puzzles on the board

the only ones I remember were like:

four +
five =
seven

where every letter represented a number and you had to find out which letter corresponded to which number, sort of like a cryptoquote, and when you solved it it would end up being a perfectly logical mathematical equation.

in 5th grade we had caption contests and we wrote poetry every month

in 6th grade we made board games and built models of stonehenge out of clay and built architecture models and stock market investing
