Gentlemen, I believe we're overdue for a thread about Batman. You can talk about all kinds of Batman related topics in here! Maybe you want to gush about Grant Morrison's current run on the Batman, or perhaps you would prefer to discuss the cartoons based on the character. Maybe you want to talk about the many movies he's been in? Argue about which version of Batman is the best? All of these bat-topics and more are welcome.

To start things off, how about checking out these four songs about the Caped Crusader? The first is a particular favorite. Feel free to share more songs about Batman!

Batman Begins would have been better if he never dressed up as Batman. He looks stupid.

Wait, do you mean that you wish he never wore any costume at all or just that he never dressed up in the Batsuit?

For the record I hated thelook of the batsuit too, but a film about Batman without at least a little costumed drama is a film about just Bruce Wayne.

I've read the novel of the first Keaton Batman like a dozen times - it was one of the first teen books I ever owned - and I really liked in it that he's so badass, when he can't wear his batsuit he just makes one from things he found in someone else's apartment.

Also I like the portrayal of sheet silver as being able to stop a handgun round at close range.

i haven't really liked the batsuits in any of the films. of all of them i liked dark knight's the best if only because it was slightly more practical than the others re: ability to turn his head, lighter weight. BUT i hated that they acknowledged onscreen that he couldn't turn his head before; i thought we were just supposed to be suspending our disbelief about that!

i can believe that he is wearing a suit that looks like it's made of rubber but offscreen he can actually turn his head but i absolutely cannot believe that a bro who by all rights shouldn't be even be able to drive in that thing can single-handedly clean up gotham's crime-ridden streets

I don't think it's possible to make a batman suit that isn't stupid, so yes, I think he should just have been Bruce Wayne. Maybe cover up his face with a ski mask if he absolutely has to wear a disguise. Superheroes should only wear silly costumes if the story is supposed to be silly, or at least very unrealistic.

Batman Returns is the only good Batman movie.

Thorsby you have hit a nerve with me re: superhero costumes, so I'll only say that I think you're holding superhero stories to a higher standard of realism than they need to be.

Anyway, let's all hear the story of the British Batman.

I only think the last two Batman movies was going for that standard of realism.

So I picked up the Batman Showcase from the library and man, is it ever crazy. There is a story where the bad guy uses a paralysis... thing against Batman and Robin to protect a secret crime city underneath Gotham, which is described as having a movie theater (showing only crime movies, of course!) and a passport booth.

Double post! Who would win in a dance-off, Batman or Superman? The answer may surprise you!

I think this might be the best twitter account.
