Batman Forever had the best 90's soundtrack I've literally ever heard in my entire life.

I think Brandy slightly beats out Monica, but I respect your opinion.

it's about the most consistent (non tall-form) comics around imo.

so how come Ben Affleck being Batman in a movie in two years maybe freaks out all the twitters and the tumblrs and the other internets and the teevees multiple times but Will Arnett being Batman in a movie next dang month is something I learned by accident while looking up something about Will Arnett

I'm really glad that Batman/Superman is being pushed back a year, so there's more time for Zack Snyder to, I dunno, retire? Have a crisis of conscience? Something to stop him being the director of it.

I remember seeing that image a few years ago. It's really great. I like how it's a comic and a diagram of the inside of Batman's house at the same time.

I'm bummed that angry bro Zack Snyder seems to be taking the lead from angry old bro Frank Miller for the next batman, but I'm not surprised. My only hope is that after a few awful but moneymaking Zack Snyder DC Universe movies it opens the door for some better, and weirder DC movies from interesting directors.

Gus Van Sant's Animal Man!
Charlie Kaufman's Mister Miracle!
Pedro Almodovar's Zatanna!
Kathryn Bigalow's Batwoman!
Nichalas Winding Refn's Nightwing!
Paul Thomas Anderson's Starman!
Duncan Jones' Blue Beatle!
Baz Luhrmann's Booster Gold!
Jim Jarmusch's Detective Chimp!
Shane Carruth's The Question!
James Franco's Catman!

but mostly I wish Marvel let Edgar Wright do "Edgar Wright's Antman"

Yeah, the Edgar Wright thing was a huge bummer. What is even the point of that movie now?

The Frank Miller costume was a weird choice, but kind of an obvious one in retrospect. Is it the one Batman comic that most amount of people have read? Probably?

I'd watch the hell out of Charlie Kaufman's Mr. Miracle.

Aren't they still going through with it?

I just read The Long Halloween. I'm not sure if it's because I have the entire volume and I read through it pretty quickly, but it feels like it went a bit too fast and was kinda clunky at times.

I do love the atmosphere and Batman's enemies getting wrapped into the mess, though, and I think Batman and Catwoman's relationship was pretty nice. The twist reveal in the end was pretty neat.

They're still making it, and will probably use parts of his script, but with a different director who will let the executives shape the movie how the company thinks is best. They tried to get Adam McKay but he backed out saying he's too busy. The other directors they were looking at were moderately successful comedy directors. The movie may end up pretty good, but it won't have the sort of silly passion that an Edgar Wrighy movie does.

I'm really hoping they cave in and let Edgar Wright do it. It's pretty ridiculous they won't have a guy who helped with a pretty successful trilogy with plenty of geekiness in, but I suppose they're weary after Jon Favreau.

They're not going to ask him back at this point. As I understand it he left by choice when he realized they weren't going to let him make it his way. They've got too much invested and planned in the rest of their upcoming films to let him do what he wants, is my guess

I still hate it that Will Arnett is only Lego Batman and not Batman in a live-action tv show or at least a non-lego animated series.

I guess the animated series could still happen though, here's hoping.
