the combination of hand-drawn and computer generated graphics is subtle, yet effective.

hey does anyone know that short story where a guy keeps saying things to his wife that have idiomatic meaning but he's speaking literally? Like he was out fishing, and he's telling her about how he felt a tug on his line, but he didn't get too excited because he figured it was just a fluke (flatfish)? There were a whole bunch of fishing ones but that's the only one I remember. I read it probably a few years ago and now I can't find it \:

Konrad doesn't want to own a TV because he knows it will serve as a distraction from his serious poker playing ambitions, but he also doesn't want to lose out on absorbing mainstream culture as expressed through the televised medium. He's compromised by having a TV, but placing it in a location that makes it difficult to watch.

Konrad is blind and the layout of his house is more convenient with the TV in the corner
