I like Vriska, but I think that it's kind of unfairly skewed towards her in the comic here and there wrt: likability.

Man, I looked at the forums for the recent stuff where Vriska was confessing to terribleness, and everyone was like "she's so great, isn't she?"

I mean, I see what is good about her, but I also think I kind of hate her.

as far as I am in I have no clue how anyone couldn't hate her

seems like the only bro that is legit a bad person

the troll arch is interesting in that

it starts really sluggish, it delays the resolution of many more pressing issues, it comes right after a couple of incredible animations, it is slow paced due to the great amount of text and what not

but at the end
you end up really liking the trolls and wishing the one you like most got more breaks

i wouldnt say it was perfectly executed tho

No, John is most likely dead. His dream self is okay, but still. Really this isn't quite as bad as her killing Aradia except that the reader should have more of a connection to John, so if they don't feel betrayed or whatever now they're probably still going to be on her side when she stabs Jade in the face. Or maybe Rose after she sacrifices her dream self.

I did not know about Dave mode. How do you play it?

ctrl-t and then type in "shoosh:doof", I think was how you get Dave mode. During the fight.

Jack was coming towards John anyway, and Aradia just allowed him to survive the encounter by passing his consciousness to his dream self, whereas if he had died at that moment, he would have died definitely maybe?

no timeline offshoots cause that's when daves start dying and that isn't no good for nobody

Eidam, Aradia is the spooky robot one Vriska is the evil sleepytime one. Also Aradiabot killed Vriska when she was awake (and maybe before she even woke on Prospit to begin with? not sure) so there's precedent there wrt not needing to be asleep for the extra life to kick in.

if she wasn't so damned evil the timeline would have been different to begin with

honestly while I acknowledge her evil I have trouble getting mad at Vriska because she is blatantly fictional

meanwhile Eridan is way too much like an actual thirteen year old not to inspire loathing

Given what Dave appears to be on the verge of doing to himself, it's entirely possible that what happened to John is a necessary part of the journey.
