I'm also rather impressed by the biology of the Suicide Song Bird. Unlike the other creatures in the comic, who have quite plainly outlandish and otherworldy anatomies and behaviors, this one isn't too far off of certain IRL parasites.

(i'm guessing you knew that already)

Also: for someone who's probably been able to shape-shift their whole life, Jmyre is really, really bad at impersonating others.

I've heard of similar ones, but I hadn't heard about those two you linked to. They were really neat.

I'm always impressed with the realism you treat the fantastical creatures with. I think my favorite comic was when Lostclock and the shapeshifter debate trantoro behavior, because of how well thought out the behavior is.

I think it's mainly because of this that I like showing your comic to biology nerds.

my favorite lostclock line is the monkey ghost evolution rant.

because it is the best lostclock line.

I am now reading your comic for the first time good sir, going through the archive.
The whole fungus story, on the ship, kind of feels like you are watching someone play monkey island or something
It's cool.

Just for the record I was reading this comic before it was cool and Öyvind still won't give me presents or t-shirts or whatever.

Oh man, did Jmyre get blown up too???

You probably shouldn't tell me the answer to that.

Can someone tell me who stepped through the door? Is it the final third sister? I thought she was killed already, in the castle? Or am i remembering wrong?

Help out a brother! Image

Yeah, that is Ormhild, who we last saw falling through a window thanks to Lostclock. That she didn't die apparently means that Lostclock is not (as far as we know) destined to kill Anette.

I have a problem. Every time a new comic comes out, it is so good I feel compulsed to come here and talk about it

the correct term is "composted"

I was maybe a year behind but I just got caught up on this today! It really is brilliant.
