right after depositing my package in the mailbox I noticed it said "due to security something something anything over 13 ounces can't be deposited here, take it to the post office and if you deposit it her we'll just bring it back to your house."

so since I'm leaving for Atlanta first thing Wednesday morning, and I'm pretty sure it's over 13 ounces, my person probably won't get my thing until January since I don't get back til Jan 3 and I'm sorry

I'll see if my roommate can drop it off at the post office.

did you just put a crap load of stamps on it or did you use the thing that prints out a big metered sticker
if you did the second thing then it should be fine

It's a flat-rate item so I'm not worried it as the incorrect postage. The mailbox said it was because of security measures so I assumed it was some 9/11 security bullshit. But if it's just because they want to make sure it's weighed properly then I guess it'll be fine.

it's a security thing re: stamps are not trackable
flat rate should be fine

Sent. Please uh, just attempt to deal with the box. It's been reinforced. Your best bet is to cut away the exterior shell armour, then fully cut away a side of the box. It should be there within 5-6 business days.

Also I really want to apologize to my person because I've been slacking on getting a gift; I'm having trouble coming up with a good idea, so I'm holding off a bit. You'll get it and it'll be good (and hopefully) soon!
