So I am watching season 3 at the moment, and started wondering - do Americans/Canadians etc find the proliferation of Australian accents in Farscape weird? Does it give all the aliens a nice xenomorphic tinge in their cadences, enhancing the alien quality relative to Crichton, the audience identification character? This is something I've wondered about for a while.

Also I really like the use of colour and lighting to make the show seem fancier than it actually was.

I don't think I noticed?
Like aside from the over the top stereotypical australian accent most
australian accents just sound fairly american/canadian to me

Fair enough. Virginia Hey had one of those near-English educated accents, and honestly Claudia Black sounded like an Englishwoman who had lived in Australia for years even though she is from Sidney, but I find it weird I guess because a lot of them sound like Australians doing bad American or British accents.

On a barely related note, the best Australian accent ever faked was Donald Pleasance's in Wake in Fright, which sounds completely genuine.
