It took me a second to realize what you meant, and remember we were talking in code. I almost googled it, thinking "That's a really weird movie title".

No, not yet. I think it was reviewed last week. I might go see it Thursday though, so I can offer opinions if I do!

Best movie I saw for work in a while is Vi Ar Bast! aka We Are The Best!

It's a movie about 13 year old girls in Stockholm in the 80s who start a punk band. It's really brilliant.

Note:

D. Washington takes on those evil Russians in "THE BALANCER". Very meh and formulaic, what you'd expect. Still fairly entertaining. D. Wash is always nice to watch and the villain is pretty good, sort of a Bond villain in that he's a sexy well dressed psycho. Ends with the Home-Aloning of a big box store.

Kristen "Human Hair Lace Front" and William Hater star in "THE FRATERNAL HUMAN BONE CHILDREN". Very funny but also quite sad and dark, the two leads are great, as are T. Burrz and especially Brother of Owen Wilson, probably the best performance I've seen him give. Movie sometimes treads the "watching bad people be sad" line a little heavily, but the moments of humour are pretty great.

"POSITIVE PERSONS" stars "Alien/Hobgoblin" and Goldie Hawn Jr. as boring main characters who I don't care about. Which is a shame, because the supporting characters including T. Wilkz and Bishop are actually pretty interesting, especially an actor who was new to me, S. Spruell. Ends with a Home-Aloning of a house.

Hey South African Robo Cop with Die Antwoord was really really good, I highly recommend it.

Temporal Jacuzzi: The Sequel was really really dumb but more or less in a way it intended to be, and I laughed a goodly amount.

Sure do!

I haven't actually seen Short Circuit though, and it does borrow a lot from Robocop too. It is very enjoyable. On par with District 9 in my mind, but more with delightfully weird and idiosyncratic elements. Those elements go by the name of Yolandi and Ninja, to be precise. And the title character has an impressive depth of character for a computer representation of a robot representation of a person.

I saw the big movie coming out next week. It has a number of problems, but it is going to make so much money. Soooo much money.

I miss the days of free private screenings for that type of movie. :owlysad:
(even if I don't expect it's any good)

think the only good way the superhero movie bubble can end
is with an
it's a mad, mad, mad, mad world sort of movie starring superheroes
I guess trying to get the dead green lantern's ring or whatever the fuck instead of money

superman accidentally crashed into a truck carrying a bunch of red kryptonite
the batmobile lost a wheel
shit like that

If they do a superhero crossover series of movies to retell Marvel vs DC
and they have side movies for all the Amalgam universe characters
I would find that a lil' interesting

or maybe something like grindhouse where there's a double feature with fake trailers in the middle

it'd be a terrible idea, though, given how different the film franchises are
they'd have to bring back george clooney to make it work

Usually not that much but it varies by the month.

And yeah Quebec is delightfully unpredictable in their ratings. It's always fun to see what they rate stuff.

Porn Kappa?

Image

Got all excited for a minute and thought someone had filmed an erotic adaptation of Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World.

Kappa is an emote on twitch.tv. it is used to express the ideas of someone who is "out of the loop", usually sarcastically.

I still haven't figured out to what movie you're referring. It's probably really obvious but I can't get it...

Oh good!

Still haven't seen it.

Today I watched the 100th film by Takashi Miike. At 8:30 AM.
