I have to admit that the ship scene was a real door slamming 50's style screwball comedy in the best possible way. I loved it.

OK.

That seems unlikely.

I need to stop reading it for a month so I have a whole bunch to read at once.

I can't take the suspense.

I used to sort of forget about this comic every now and then and have a great time reading through what I missed when I remembered, and when I added the RSS feed I was a bit worried that maybe I wouldn't enjoy the comic as much with periodic single updates.

But turns out I do and it's still great.

I really hate the shape shifter! What a jerk! Thank you for having such a terrible person be one of the main characters :)

Me too, but it has resulted in funny stuff happening, so I guess it's OK.

One thing I like about Hitmen is the consistent tone. It doesn't start out as a gag strip and slip into storylines, nor has it become any more serious than it started out. This is good.

Yes. Hitmen's greatest strength is it's crazy unpredictability

I like how Rolf's death changed the Hitmen's position from having a rough go of making sure these predictions happened to being totally boned.

Aren't Lostclock and Bianca and Maythorn all in Brynhild's world? And maybe Fusk? Totally on the edge of my seat over here.

Also, I really liked the recent strip where the new guys are all talking about how messed up our heroes are, with the reveal of Fusk, having killed the neighbor, listening in. Funny and exciting as this strip is, it's also got some real depth to it.

I was pleased to read in another thread that Øyvind is a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and Anya in particular, who I think maybe influenced the way Jymre talks?). I've often compared Hitmen and Buffy in my head; they do many of the same things well.

I was confused about that until I remembered that Brynhild always wears gloves to cover her magic ring.

I would appreciate a sister update, though.

The similarity had occurred to me, but not before I had written Jymre for a while.

There was a couple of things I liked about Buffy that I wanted to do. One is how the shorter storylines stand on their own but also usually make something change in the bigger storyline. The other was how there is a feel of there being a large community of magic creatures and the stuff we see are only small parts of it. (I think Angel did this better than Buffy).

I really love how much of it you seem to have planned out from the very beginning. At this point we now know everything about the first strip, a strip that I recall being very strange at first.

Are we coming to a close soon? Darlag, Barn Beast and the Triplets tried to off Annette because of the prophecies. The only other one who sent anyone is Mister Gerhardsen who might be the last one before the finale.

I just finished reading that one, and couldn't stop laughing all the way through. A+ material.
