I would love to be able to help you with it if you send me a copy of what you have ... im looking for career work so i have some time at the moment to read that much in a short period of time ... i could read that in four days if you would want some quality collaboration connection time with someone else ...

That looks really nice. I will start working on it tomorrow and have it read by the looks of it in a few hours. My first impression is that it looks really clever and is filled with lovely illustration and comprises a sense of mystery. You have a good sense of color as well. I dig that.

Nicholas

I think I quit clicking on it in my RSS 100 pages ago because it was 30 pages in and nothing had happened. I decided to let it build up a bit and catch up at a later date. I guess now'll do. Rice Boy and Order of Tales didn't need that treatment as much.

Gonna restart in the morning. I'm guessing the entire book 1 is just an intro? One that took 9 months and a week to put out.

You may be creating a web cartoon but you have an imagination at least as powerful as george lucas's. I would encourage you to seek out professional representation for your work by contacting agents to discuss the creation of a hollywood film script for your work. It may take some time but I will tell you this you know how to story board. You have an elegant sense of motion and storytelling in your images and your character are stunningly unique. There is an expansive quality to your work similar to the scope of the setting in Braveheart or eve the Battle for Endor. The most valuable cinematic art has always been of those that create new worlds and you have done that. I do not have the budget to create this but I would consider contacting Computer Animation studios to determine where you should go with your work and how you should develop your work into more powerful mediums. This could be a saturday morning cartoon, this could be a flash animation cartoon, this could be carted to other mediums. I applaud you for your brilliance and look forward to experiencing the rest of your work. I am on page fifty five right now.

Frame 35 is a work of art.
Frame 57 has amazing detail in the wound of the arm.

I will tell you this. You could go very far developing this idea. I wouldnt be surprised to see choice frames in an art gallery for sale. I think you are that talented.

Congratulations on the development of your craft to such a mastered level. That is impressive indeed.

nicholas

Ill finish reading it over the next few days.
Oh the story line seems kind of intimate but it feels like you could tell the same story in about half the frames. There seem to be a lot of establishing shots moreso than necessary. I think you could do some editing. I would recommend choosing the key scenes storyboard them and develop those ideas. Then add one or two transitional frames between key frames and keep the pace of the story going from event to event in an almost sine wave sort of motion. Establish a sort of rhythm with your story that is lacking at the moment.

Did you create story boards to tell your story or are you winging it? You said you are having trouble with the story line and developing a direction. I would recommend you stop here and work with either just yourself or other artists here online and develop a storyline storyboard that you can then flesh out later. Also do not be afraid to write a screenplay for your work but i cant imagine you want to do all of that manual labor to develop thost beautiful frames with no plan in mind of a direction to go in.

I will keep reading tonight but for right now th story as i can tell is that there is a child who was born amid a situation where more children were wanted but not provided by i guess nature. Then there was a migration and then there was a ceremony and then there was the epic hunting scene which led up to conflict between an assailant and some of the family members of the child and that is as far as i got up to this point.

Your drawing skills are remarkable I would love to see you tell the most powerful story you can so that your story telling skills match your drawing skills and you develop a full package for yourself to market at conferences in book format or to even have a successful enough comic that you can gain commercial endorsement or at least a successful google affiliate program.

What you are doing with that comic is what you need to be doing with your life. I have writing this is what i do with my life. I apply for copywriting positions to help me supplement my poetry and my creative endeavors. I live for my writing you should live for your drawing. I would love to talk to you more about all of this , if you dig what I am saying please private message me and maybe visit my webpage at http://www.knowlegenation.us and leave a message on my page. The appreciation would be sincere.

I hope this writing has been helpful, dont be afraid to click a couple ads it would help me out plenty.

again, this isn't my comic, but I agree 100% that Evan Dahm uses way too many frames for things that could be presented in less.
