Truth and Beauty Bombs

I did this comic and showed it to people and they didn't understand it, so I added a few pages but now I am scared to show it to the people who didn't understand it before! Maybe you guys can tell me if it makes sense/is good?

I'm not sure I get it. People's eyes are turning into bugs? So that makes it hard to work, and people are starving?

Thought it was about depression?

She works as a field labourer, spends all her money buying produce and getting duped by fake beggars, and looks after her parents. I think her father has Alzheimer's? She feels trapped by her situation and is very unhappy. She has a nightmare about not having to help any more but realises everyone is relying on her to produce.

Maybe? Something in there about environmentalism (the bugs, chasing them away??) maybe?

Anyway it was evocative, clearly, but the scenes are often oddly narrowly cropped.

Having thought about this a bit more I am a big fan. Don't want to over analyse it because I will sound pretentious and then you'll blow me out the water by saying "wtf?"

It wasn't clear to me, but I thought she harvested eyes in the field. People who can work can produce eyes for the blind this way. In the end she loses her own eyes, as everyone inevitably does, and doesn't have the money to get new ones, and becomes powerless/reliant on others.

Wait, I thought it was that eventually everyone's eyes just fly away, and at the end hers did too.

Also maybe they fly away when you start wishing for something?

facebook is basically just a tool for people to celebrate each others individuality though what the main discourse calls "freedom", through stating what products and services you purchase, acting things out like advertisements because we are taught that is what our gods the giant corporations do,

and the only way to handle it is to
be part of that noise
change our ability to perceive the world
for that awful, droning buzz
let our eyes fly away

like everyone just has them closed
and the beggar bro obv has some scars on them so his prob crawled out too
can't really guess what the significance of the eyes crawling out is really but it is obviously something that is the result of
seeing/thinking about things
also not sure why it would be a big deal for someone's eyes to crawl out if everybody is just
keeping them closed att
