I think I drop conversations with people, too. But probably because I don't realize the person is putting effort into it [re: conversations don't magically happen].

i can't start conversations especially online unless i have at least two topics prepared just in case.

the situation of everybody being able to read everyone else's thoughts is always presented as some sort of nightmare but i'm pretty sure it could only be a positive thing

If I was unresponsive to a convo someone started and they said, "Hey this is is something I'm putting effort into and you're ignoring it"

I would get embarrassed and take the whole thing r seriously.

It would have some interesting ramifications on intellectual property laws, but those could use some retooling anyway.

I think i also start convos that people don't realize are convos. Like I'll say a funny word to them that I want to share and maybe hear a word they think is funny. But in the end the communication of I want to exchange funny words doesn't happen. The convo just drops and I'm pretty sure the other person thinks I'm being mean [or at least aesthetically false].

yeah just put me in the "can't fucking start a convo" camp
also set me aside in the terrible part of that camp that freaks out in pretty much every stage of an internet conversation (except for some reason if it's on a forum or twitter or comment thread or something)

I also have this thing when someone asks me a question. I'll ask myself the question in my head and answer it in my head while forgetting I have to tell my answer out loud. I'll carry on the convo like I've answered the question.
