I really liked both the Dark Crystal and Labyrinth as a kid. Haven't watched them in a couple years, though.

Labyrinth is one of those movies that, when I encounter it, causes me to say "JENN-ifer CONN-elly!" in this weird cadence that I guess I picked up from Wayne's World. No, not Wayne's World. What am I thinking of?

I don't know but truth be told I don't even like Labyrinth the movie. I just like Labyrinth the concept and visuals.

dark crystal is definitely the better/more refined of the two

labyrinth sort of feels more mainstream and traditional but in some ways i like that re: i like how fairytale it is in places

both in my top ten fave films anyway

this is really embarassing but
I haven't seen the dark crystal
whenever I was at my aunt and uncle's house I wanted to watch it but I was too embarassed re: I thought someone would say "the dark crystal? sounds gay."
so I just watched shit like The Rock and whatever instead

saw some clips on youtube a while ago tho and it looked so fukken good jesus christ
almost tore my urethra cuz all my jizz was trying to get out at once and clogged up the exit

Dark Crystal is one of the best movies ever. I watched it a lot as a kid. It probably messed me up a little. It's the only movie from my childhood that I have purchased on DVD.

(Labyrinth is also good.)
