I was attempting to create visual shortcuts for drawing the Carls to create consistency without needing to be copy+paste.

I sort of forgot that was a slang term.

Digital drawing makes me uncomfortable it seems like! Maybe for strictly inking it could be a useful tool, though...

I like this thread cause it reminds me of when bands have an album and they have a song that has the same name on the album.

I vastly prefer paper. I forget that when I do digital I have to rough it out and then blow it up to like a billion times whatever the finish product will be for it to look even remotely like anything I feel comfortable calling my own.

So I hate the lack of immediacy.

matt, i like how fluid you are with your marks, but i think that you get a little too attached to your lines too quickly and you end up with drawings that have dense contours that overwhelm your internal descriptive lines

the drawing of the guy in a scarf would probably pop much more if you'd used your line weight to distinguish between areas of importance, instead of sort of applying the thick line to the outside indiscriminately

i think it comes from trying to make the drawing look solid and dynamic, but it ends up feeling a little claustrophobic

I have been working mostly digitally lately. Also mostly just on dumb fetish art, but I think even THAT'S been getting better in some ways.

I kind of want to make a webcomic called Ugly Town but I have no ideas what it would be about except that all the characters would be "ugly".



And I am also working on doing a comic called REVOLUTION!!!! which takes an over-the-top anime approach to the revolutionary war period.

I want/need to refocus on producing non-fetish crap for the sake of having decent work that I can show EVERYONE.
